The same perceptual color math print and paint people use, not a naive RGB comparison — which is why a dusty terracotta wall reads as a match and a bright orange one doesn't. And it's never shown as a number, on purpose: the moment there's a percentage, it becomes a test.

FAQ
Is it a game?
Sort of. There's no score and nobody wins — but you do get a goal and a satisfying way to know you're close.
Do I need friends to use it?
No. Solo hunts and the Color of the Week work entirely on their own.
How does it know if something matches?
It extracts the dominant colors in the frame and compares them to your target in CIELAB using CIEDE2000 — perceptual color math, the kind used in print and paint matching.
Why don't you show a percentage?
Because the moment there's a number, it becomes a test. Two soft bars tell you what you need to know without turning a walk into a scoreboard.
Do my photos get uploaded?
No. Raw hunt photos stay on your device. Only a finished collage is uploaded, and only if you back it up or share it.
Can I delete everything?
Yes — account deletion is in the app and permanently removes your profile and every image you uploaded.
Do I need Plus?
No. Hunting, groups, layouts, editing and exporting all work free. Plus removes the export watermark, unlocks the remaining palettes, and adds custom hex.
